Luzdelia Caballero

Luzdelia Caballero is thrilled to join the ABC15 family!

She was born and raised in San Diego and made her way over to Los Angeles when she became a UCLA Bruin.

After graduating in 2016, she worked as an associate producer at FOX 5 San Diego. Luzdelia later moved to the Coachella Valley in 2017 for two years to work for NBC Palm Springs and Univision Palm Springs, as a bilingual weather anchor and reporter (which included live coverage in both English and Spanish).

There she reported on red carpet events like the Palm Springs Film Festival, and did sports coverage at the BNP Paribas Open, along with her general reporting/weather coverage assignments.

In 2019 Luzdelia took a leap of faith and left California, accepting a position in Tucson, as a reporter and anchor/weather fill-in. There, she did extensive coverage on border issues, major weather events including the Bighorn fire, George Floyd protests, and monsoon. She received her first Emmy nomination in the Old Pueblo.

During her free time, you can find her hiking with her dogs, spending time with family and friends, and trying new foods!

Fun facts: Spanish is her first language, and she has a pet duck in San Diego!
