Octopus pants: Billy Horschel sports ostentatious pants at US Open

After Tweeting a picture of his outfits for the US Open, PGA Tour rookie Billy Horschel's unusual choice of octopus pants is making a splash.

Because Horschel is sponsored by Ralph Lauren, he wears the company's golf line, RLX, and proudly Tweeted the octopus pants picture on Sunday morning having made it to the final round.

He commented, "Well here they are! The highly anticipated highly controversial…Octopus pants! Great outfits all week by RLX!" reported The Inquisitr.

It seems John Daly's long-time reputation as the sport's leader in bad fashion is being challenged by Horschel's buzz-worthy pants choice, which he paired with a bright pink polo.

Horschel teed off in eighth place on Sunday at 3-over par and was four strokes behind Phil Mickelson, the leader of the final round.
