Larry Fitzgerald believes in the Cardinals more than Vegas does

Simply stated, oddsmakers do not believe in the 2018 Arizona Cardinals.

Along with being given the worst odds of all 32 NFL teams to advance to the 2018 playoffs, Vegas has estimated the Cards' 2018 win total at just 5.5 games. The Cardinals haven't won fewer than seven games since 2012.

During a promotion for his upcoming Supper Club charity event at Dominick's Steakhouse in Scottsdale on Aug. 27, Larry Fitzgerald was asked about that Vegas projection.

Long story short: If Fitzgerald were to offer gambling advice -- and to be clear, he's definitely not doing so -- he would strongly recommend taking the over.

"I can’t give you that kind of advice because that’s illegal and I can’t do it myself. But if you want to have a good Christmas for the family, I’d say you probably should put that money on the line," Fitz told ABC15's Craig Fouhy.

The Cardinals have a lot of new pieces this season, including an entirely different quarterback unit and a revamped receiving corps and offensive line. But entering his 15th NFL season, Fitz is much more optimistic than those in Vegas who set the over/under lines.

"If you’ve got some spare money, I would advise you (to take the over)," he said.
