Justin Upton trade: Diamondbacks trade Justin Upton to Atlanta Braves in 7-player deal

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to trade Justin Upton to the Atlanta Braves in a seven-player deal.

The Braves acquired Upton along with third baseman Chris Johnson. In return, the Diamondbacks receive pitcher Randall Delgado, Martin Prado, and three minor leaguers.

This trade unites Upton with his older brother B.J. Upton, who signed with Atlanta this off-season.

Justin Upton (@JUS10UP10) said in a Tweet, "Bittersweet day for me. So happy to get the chance to play with my brother in Atlanta but will miss the city and the fans here in Phoenix."

The deal is currently pending physicals by players involved.
