It was a tough all-around afternoon for the Arizona Cardinals in Buffalo on Sunday, including for safety Tyrann Mathieu.

With the Cardinals training 30-16 in the fourth quarter, the Honey Badger made a potential game-changing play when he forced a fumble from Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

Mathieu tried to scoop up the loose ball and return it for a touchdown. Instead, he inadvertently kicked the ball out of bounds, allowing the Bills to retain possession. The Bills went on to win 33-18, dropping the Cardinals to 1-2 on the season.

It was just that kind of day for the Cardinals -- and after the game, Mathieu was kicking himself about the play.

But by Sunday night, Mathieu seemed to be prepared to put the play and the loss behind him, citing wisdom from the legendary Michael Jordan in a tweet.

Mathieu is still being eased back onto the field after suffering an ACL tear late last season. But the 2015 All-Pro selection remains one of the most dynamic players in the NFL, and it's not a matter of if but when he makes another game-changing play for the Birdgang.
