The good news: It wasn’t a loss.

The bad news: Unless the Arizona Cardinals can pull off a minor miracle, making the playoffs is out of the question.

I’m not giving up hope, but let’s face it: The tie against Seattle on Sunday night hurt the 3-3-1 Cards more than it hurt the division-leading 4-1-1 Seahawks. And with six of their final nine games on the road, it’s going to take some kind of miracle for the Cardinals to get to 10 wins and make the postseason for the third consecutive year.

Right now, the Cardinals aren’t even in the top 10 in the NFC! Not exactly where you want to be seven games into the season.

Looking ahead, there’s good news: After winning games at the Panthers on Sunday and at home vs. the 49ers in two weeks, Arizona could be 5-3-1. The bad news is, in order to get to 10 wins, the Cardinals need to win seven of their final nine games -- and again, six of those are on the road.

But then again, nobody ever said it was going to be easy -- especially in the NFL. The tie just made it a little harder than it needed to be.
