Royal Icing
5cups powder sugar
3tbsp meringue powder
7tbsp corn syrup
7tbsp water or less for thickness
Mix all ingredients and beat for 10 minutes
Add water to get required thickness
Sugar cookies
2cups sugar
2cups cold soft butter
1tbsp vanilla
2eggs
Mix all above ingredients then add
41/2-5cups flour.
You may have to mix in by hand the last cup of flour. Roll out after mixing to 1/4 inch thickness and refrigerate for 3 hours. Then pull out cut, put on cookie pans. Back in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Pull out and bake for 13 mins 350 degrees
Buttercream Icing
3lbs still cold but soft
2tbsp vanilla
4-6 cups powder sugar to taste
Start with butter. Mix a minute. Stop machine pour in 4 cups powder sugar and vanilla. Beat for 3 minutes. Taste. Add powder sugar if needs to be sweeter. Total beat time 10 minutes. Should be fluffy but hold together. If it is soupy your butter was completely room temp. Butter still needs to be cold but soft
