Saturday August 17
Paws for Reading: Come meet and read to a four-legged library lover! Registered therapy dogs from Mutts on a Mission will be coming to visit our library every Saturday from 1-3 PM. Bring your favorite book, or choose a library book to read to the dog. For children age 5 and up. 1-2pm. Goodyear Library, 14455 W. Van Buren St., Goodyear.

Sunday August 18
Toddler Test Kitchen: A one-of-a-kind, hands-on, parent-child cooking class for junior chefs-to-be and picky eaters from two (2) to six (6) years (recommended). Increase your child's self-confidence, build important skills, and help with picky-eating tendencies. Classes feature age-appropriate, original recipes. Caregivers are required to participate alongside the junior chef. Cost is $30. 10-11pm. Arizona Science Center, 600 E. Washington St., Phoenix. 602-716-2000.

Sunday August 18
Never Grow Up Family Adventure: Set sail for an evening of family fun with the Littles! Visit the mermaid lagoon, walk the plank & watch out for crocks. Enjoy characters, face painting, boutique shopping, tasty treats, games & entertainment. Includes mini portraits with everyone's favorite fairy. Fun for all ages. Free for adults and kids 0-2, $5 ages 3-17. 4-7pm. The Legacy Ballroom, 4530 E. Gold Dust Ave., Phoenix.
