Avondale KidFest: The three-hour Avondale KidFest celebration will include games and fun, special character guests, entertainment, water fun activities, informational booths on education, literacy, healthy lifestyles, safety, summer camp & youth program information and more. Also featured as a part of the festivities is the Splash Pad season opening, so come prepared to get a little wet! Food and drink will be available for purchase so that your family can picnic at the park. 10am-1pm. Friendship Park, 12325 W. McDowell Rd., Avondale.

Cultural Connections Concert Series: Rhythms of the World: Jam out to the rhythmic pulse of drums from across the world. Combining highly physical, large-scale drumming with contemporary costumes, precise choreography and innovative visuals, Rhythms of the World will offer an energetic and unforgettable production as the crowd's energy helps fuel the groups' performances. 1-5pm. Odysea in the Desert, 9500 E. Via de Ventura, Scottsdale.

CycloMesa: There's tons of family fun at CycloMesa! Kids will enjoy free inflatables, carnival games, circus performers and aerial workshops! Get your adrenaline pumping by zipping through CycloMesa on the zip line, climbing to the top of the rock wall or watching the BMX stunt show. Free including activities. 9am-1pm. Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center St., Mesa.
