Reward offered in killing of javelina near Bisbee

BISBEE, AZ - Authorities say a reward of up to $500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the illegal killing of a javelina in southern Arizona.

Arizona Game and Fish officials say the javelin was shot in the head on Christmas Day and then possibly dragged down a residential street south of Bisbee.

They say the javelina was found dead with an orange extension cord wrapped through its mouth east of the Naco Highway.

Officials said Friday that the reward is being offered by the Game and Fish Department's Operation Game Thief program.
