Powerball lottery could reach $925 million if no Saturday winner

PHOENIX - The Powerball lottery has risen to $600 million, but that number would be dwarfed by the $925 million it's expected to jump to if no one wins the jackpot on Saturday.

There was no winning ticket in Wednesday's jackpot of $360 million, and the prize has now become the second-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, CNN reports . The numbers were 2, 11, 26, 34 and 41 with a Powerball of 32.

The potential $925 million jackpot would be fueled by frenzied ticket purchases in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning are 1 in 175,223,510.

You have a better chance of being struck by lightning, dying from a bee sting or being attacked by a shark.
