Clogged shower head? Use vinegar as a simple, cheap solution

Taking a shower can be a pain if the water is not flowing out of your shower head properly.  I have a simple and inexpensive solution.

In the Valley we have hard water so it is not uncommon for your shower head to get clogged. Don't go out and buy a new shower head. Instead grab some distilled vinegar and a large bowl to get that shower head clean.

If you have a shower head that unscrews simply unscrew it from your shower. All you need is the shower head. Then grab a large bowl and fill it with distilled vinegar. Fill enough so the shower head will be covered and floating in the vinegar. Let the shower head sit in the vinegar overnight.

In the morning take the shower head out of the bowl and scrape off any leftover mineral deposits with a brush. Then reinstall the shower head in your shower and run cold water through it for a minute or two to remove any remaining residue. Now you should have a smooth flowing shower head without having to buy a new one. You can follow this process anytime your shower head starts to get clogged.

If you have a shower head that is not easily removable from your shower you can still soak in distilled vinegar.
Just grab a plastic bag without any holes and cover your shower head with the plastic bag and distilled vinegar inside the plastic bag. Then wrap a rubber band around the plastic bag to secure it over the shower head and let it sit overnight.  Same process when it has soaked overnight in vinegar remove the plastic bag and vinegar then take a brush and scrape off any excess minerals. Then turn on your shower and run cold water through shower head for a few minutes to remove any additional residue.
