Using your iPhone/iPad to help plan for Vday

PHOENIX - If you're trying to plan the perfect Valentine's day date, pick up your iPhone or iPad.  Here are some apps that  can help you be prepared for the big day.

BeCouply - iPhone

BeCouply is designed to help couples find fun things to do. It essentially takes businesses from Foursquare and organizes them into fun categories for couples. It's also somewhat of a social network for couples. You can capture moments from your date and create a digital  scrapbook. It won't plan your night down to the minute but it is a fun way to discover new ideas of things for couples to do and save those memories.

Uber - iPhone/Android/Web

Want to show up for your date in style?  Uber is an app that lets you book a private driver right from your phone. You can see where current cars are located and then find out how long it will before one can show up at your door. A sleek black car will show up ready to chauffeur you around town. The service isn't cheap.  A ride from the Phoenix airport to Tempe quoted at about $25. With that said, the cool points you'll get showing up to your date with a driver might be worth the price.

1-800-Flowers -  iPhone/ Android
Proflowers -  iPhone

Go classic with a bouquet of flowers and order them in seconds directly from your smartphone. Many of the big flower websites now offer apps to make the ordering process super simple. The 1-800-Flowers app even has order tracking built into the app so you can make sure those roses show up in time for the special day.
