Sarina Ehler search: Missing girl found safe and sound according to Glendale police

GLENDALE - Police say 12-year-old Sarina Ehler has been found safe and sound after going missing Monday morning.

Officers were called to Sierra Verde Elementary School near Loop 101 and 75th Avenue after Sarina went to the restroom and did not return to class.

Sgt. Jay O'Neill with the Glendale Police Department said Sarina was located by a Maricopa County Sheriff's detective near 219th Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway Monday afternoon.

O'Neill said Sarina gave a false name to the detective who believed it was her.

Eventually Glendale police detectives were able to confirm it was Sarina and she was returned home to her parents.

O'Neill said there are no charges pending at this time.
