A Tempe woman says two loose dogs attacked her and her dog while out on a walk.

Taylor Espinoza says she and her dog Leo, a Bichon-poodle mix, were walking near Hardy Drive and Guadalupe Road last Thursday night when she noticed two German Shepherds coming down the street.

"Immediately they were like jumping on me and bit my hand," she said. "Before I know it they were...attacking Leo."

Espinoza told ABC15 she grabbed Leo and tried to fend off the dogs.

"I've always loved dogs, I've never been afraid of animals but I definitely was so fearful at that moment," Espinoza said.

After a few minutes, Espinoza says the dogs ran away.

ABC15 reached out to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control for specifics on this incident and to see if the dogs were located.

Espinoza said she suffered a bite to the hand and her dog, Leo, suffered a bad gash to his neck. She wants to find whoever owns the dogs.

"I'd just like them to be held accountable, understand that...they have two animals that are aggressive, and they need to be held more accountable," she said.
