An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper was involved in a crash on Loop 101 southbound near Baseline Road while in pursuit of a vehicle on Saturday afternoon.
According to DPS officials, two troopers engaged in a pursuit of a reckless driver while traveling eastbound along US-60 near Rural Road around 6 p.m.
As the suspect vehicle and patrol vehicles entered southbound L-101, one of the patrol vehicles struck the rear end of another vehicle that was moving to the right.
The trooper suffered a minor injury and was taken to an area hospital and later released.
The driver and two passengers of the other vehicle were evaluated on scene by the Mesa Fire Department and refused transportation to the hospital.
The suspect vehicle, a black four-door Nissan, remains outstanding.
The crash and chase are under investigation.
