Today citizens voiced their frustration over Johnson Utilities to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.

Several of the residents at Wednesday's meeting accused the Board of Supervisors of ignoring violations and accused some of taking campaign contributions from Johnson Utilities.

Johnson Utilities has been riddled with complaints over outrageous bills, strange smells and bad air quality.

At the end of the meeting, the Board of Supervisors voted to work with Arizona Corporation Commission (AZCC).

Pinal County Spokesman Joe Pyritz says that basically means Pinal County is joining the AZCC's lawsuit against Johnson Utilities.

The corporation commission is continuing to gather information as it considers whether to appoint an interim manager for Johnson Utilities. If that happens, the person selected could come from outside the company.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 16.
