A suspicious item found on the Mesa Community College Dobson campus has been deemed to be safe by police.
A college spokesperson said the item was located on the northeast section of the campus near Longmore and Southern Avenue.
The area was evacuated as a precaution Monday.
The Fall semester has not started but some students and staff were still on campus.
Police said the item was evaluated and not determined to be immediately hazardous. Police are expected to clear the scene shortly.
