A man has been arrested in connection to a string of armed robberies throughout Mesa and Tempe.

On December 14, Mesa Police, with help from Tempe and Gilbert Police, arrested 58-year-old Aaron Michael Hess at his home.

Authorities believe that Hess is connected to multiple armed robberies that occurred between November 27 and December 12.

His nickname was coined from the three businesses that he allegedly robbed; Water and Ice store, Fiiz Drinks, and Bahama Buck's.

Inside his home, officials located a cowboy hat, shirts, and a toy revolver, which are believed to be the same items used during the crimes.

Hess is believed to be connected to more armed robberies in Tempe, but charges have yet to be filed.

Hess was recently released from a 10-year prison sentence, and was on probation at the time of the arrest, according to officials.

Hess is facing charges that include two counts of armed robbery, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of kidnapping, and attempted armed robbery.
