Flight honors U.S. Navy veterans that survived attack on Pearl Harbor

MESA, AZ - Four U.S. Navy veterans boarded a fully restored Boeing B-17G plane Thursday at the CAF Airbase Arizona Aviation museum in Mesa. It was a flight that took them back nearly 72 years.

Jack Holder, 91, Nelson Mitchell, 93, Lambert Modder, 92, and Albert Thomas, 91, were all survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

This was the first time that the four of these men had flown together.

"To see your shipmates is a great honor after all these years," said Holder.

The quick flight around the Valley was long enough for these veterans to reflect and remember the fallen heroes of December 7, 1941.
