GILBERT, AZ - An adult-themed homework assignment raised a few eye brows of parents from Playa Del Rey Elementary School in Gilbert.
It was one question in particular about a scenario that seemed to be talking about adult infidelity.
"I was a little shocked to see it on my homework," said 4th grader Kyera McCloskey.
Students were asked to read about a situation and explain what was happening, and what should be done about it. The third question was about a wife finding another woman's hair clip under her bed, with hair in it that didn't belong to her.
"I don't care what age, it's not something that the school should bring up to my daughter," said Kyera's mother Heather Nicks.
The teacher quickly emailed parents apologizing for the adult themed assignment, and explained that she hadn't actually read the entire assignment.
"If my child skims through an assignment then she gets into trouble, she gets a bad grade," Nicks said.
Kyera's answer to the questions seemed spot on. That the husband had cheated and was in big trouble.
"I had to ask my mom 'cause I didn't really want to go too deep into what they were asking me," said Kyera.
