Suspects shoot, chase after victim at 27th Avenue/Indian School

Authorities are looking for the suspects who shot and chased a man in Phoenix overnight.

Phoenix police said the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road. 

According to police, a man was approached by three suspects, two of them armed, in the parking lot of a convenience store. An altercation occurred in the parking lot and carried inside the store. One shot was fired in the store as the victim attempted to run from the scene.

Police said two of the suspects chased the victim and fired shots towards him. The victim was struck and transported to the hospital in critical condition. 

The suspects drove away from the scene in a blue SUV. They were last seen driving northbound on 27th Avenue. 

It is unclear if the suspects and the victim knew each other before this incident. 

The intersection of the 27th Avenue and Indian School is closed while police finish their investigation. Check traffic conditions here.
