Authorities say a man bought and ate a meal before pulling a handgun and robbing a convenience store.

Around 10:45 p.m. on December 20, Phoenix police say the suspect walked into the Circle K near 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road.

Officers say the suspect bought a beer and a hot dog and went to eat at a customer counter inside the store. About 20 minutes later, police say he approached the clerk and asked about lottery tickets.

The suspect then pulled a black handgun from his waistband and demanded three scratch lottery tickets. The suspect ran off after the clerk gave him the three tickets.

The suspect is described as a roughly 25-year-old Hispanic man, about 5'8" tall and 180 pounds. He has black hair and a goatee. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a light-colored button-up shirt, dark colored hooded sweatshirt blue jeans, white shoes and a baseball hat with "CALI" written on the front, according to Silent Witness. The suspect also has a tattoo on his right forearm, possibly of a skull with a headdress.
