Officials are investigating a murder-suicide in Phoenix.

Phoenix police said on Saturday morning they responded for a check welfare call at a home near 20th Street and Baseline Road.

When officers arrived on the scene they found the victim, Eileen Yellin, dead with trauma to her body.

Friends and family reported that Yellin was involved in an on again off again relationship with Cathleen Baker.

According to police, both women recently filed restraining orders against each other.

Officers then responded to Baker's home near 38th Street and Knox Road and found her dead of an apparent suicide.

Officials found evidence of the homicide at Baker's home.

The medical examiner will be assisting to determine the actual cause of death.
