Police trying to ID man who held Phoenix Jack in the Box worker at gunpoint

Phoenix police and Silent Witness are asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of holding a Jack in the Box employee at gunpoint. 

Authorities say just after 9:30 p.m. on July 8 the suspect entered the Jack in the Box near 19th Avenue and Buckeye Road. 

Police say the suspect walked behind the counter and threatened an employee with a black handgun. 

The man demanded cash from the registers and placed it inside a brown paper bag. 

He then ordered the employee to go into the rear kitchen area before he fled on foot, according to authorities.

Police say a suspect matching this description is also being sought for questioning in reference to other robberies in Glendale and Chandler. 

Authorities describe the suspect as 25 to 35 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 280 pounds. 

He was last seen wearing a baggy brown t-shirt, blue shorts, and a multi-colored hat with a white logo.
