PD: Man sought in attempted armed robbery of Phoenix adult boutique

PHOENIX - Authorities need help identifying a man who attempted to rob a Phoenix adult boutique.

Sgt. Darren Burch, spokesman for Silent Witness, said a male suspect entered the Paradise Adult Boutique on Nov. 21, 2013 at 6:23 p.m. and pretended to look at items around the store, located near 2nd Avenue and Osborn Road.

When all the customers left the store, the suspect allegedly went to the cash register, pulled out a handgun and demanded the employee give him money, police said.

The employee opened the register, reminded the suspect he was on video surveillance, then pulled out a baseball bat, police said. The suspect left the store on foot without receiving any money.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 35 and 43 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds with black hair "slicked back."

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377). Silent Witness is offering up to a $1,000 cash-reward with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
