PD: 1 killed in Phoenix stabbing

PHOENIX - One person was killed Tuesday morning after a fight in a Phoenix home.

According to Phoenix police officer James Holmes, one person was stabbed at a home near 35th Avenue and Maryland around 12:45 a.m.

When officers arrived on the scene they found 25-year-old Alec Imus, who had been involved in an altercation with a Hispanic male, Holmes said.

Imus was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Holmes said the suspect fled the area and detectives are working to identify him.

No other information was released.
