Ex-Phoenix police officer accused of having sex with Scottsdale teen

PHOENIX - An ex-Phoenix police officer is accused of committing a sex act with a 17-year-old Scottsdale girl in her home this week.

Justin LaClere, 32, was taken into custody at his Gilbert home on Friday night, according to Scottsdale police.

Scottsdale police say the alleged incident occurred at the girl's home on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the two had made contact on a social media site just prior to the incident.

LaClere admitted to his act, according to police, and was booked into jail on one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and one count of sexual conduct with a minor.

Scottsdale police say LaClere was employed as a Phoenix officer at the time of the act.

Phoenix police say LaClere resigned as an officer on Friday.

He had been a Phoenix police officer for 7 years in the Mountain View precinct, according to Phoenix police.
