Maricopa County Superior Court is hosting a Child Support Arrest Workshop that will quash arrest warrants for people who owe back child support.
During the workshop Friday, social service providers and court staff will be on site in the jury assembly room to provide employment resources like resume assistance, job and interview skills and transportation to obligors.
The court hosted its first such workshop in February and 95 people attended the event.
Of that number, 48 arrest warrants were quashed.
The court collected nearly $17,000 in child support and parties stipulated to waiving more than $123,000 in arrears during the event.
There are about 13,500 active child support warrants currently in Arizona's most populous county.
