14-year-old boy dies after found in Phoenix pool, FD says

A teenager has died after being found Tuesday morning in a pool in Phoenix. 

The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. at an apartment complex at 23rd and Campbell avenues.

According to Phoenix fire, when firefighters arrived at the scene, residents were performing CPR on the 14-year-old.

Firefighters took over and performed life-saving measures on the teenager. He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries. It is unclear how long he was in the pool before being discovered. 

This is the 11th drowning in the Valley this year.
