Woman found dead in Old Town Scottsdale, investigation ongoing

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Police are investigating a woman's death as suspicious after she was found dead in Old Town Scottsdale Monday morning.

Scottsdale officers were called to a parking area near Saddlebag Trail and Camelback Road to check out a call of an unconscious person. Police found the victim, a woman, who was deceased.

She has since been identified by police as 33-year-old Loring Sendejas.

Friends describe Sendejas as being a caring and loving person.

"I'm gonna fight," said Gregory Oliver, Sendejas' friend. "I'm gonna dig and dig until we catch the people responsible for this."

Officials say her body did not show any obvious signs of trauma but it is believed she did not die of natural causes. The cause of her death has yet to be determined.

"If the person that was with her didn't intend for her to be hurt, or she had something happen to her and they panicked, take her to the hospital," Oliver said. "Drop her off somewhere...don't just drop her off in Old Town somewhere."

A GoFundMe page has been created to assist her family.
