Small Business Saturday in Scottsdale saves you a few bucks and helps local economy

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - With Thanksgiving around the corner and the official start to the holiday shopping rush, this Saturday may have you thinking "shop local."

November 30 is Small Business Saturday, which provides awareness and support to locally owned and operated shops.

The newly created day, founded in 2010, brings emphasis back to the local economy, the City of Scottsdale Economic Development site Choose Scottsdale said.

Scottsdale will celebrate Small Business Saturday at The Artisan Markets at SouthBridge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a special appearance by Santa Claus, Christmas carolers, free gift wrapping and discounts at participating stores.

So instead of making your way through the crowds at a big businesses, you might want to think small and stop by Scottsdale this Saturday and save a few bucks.
