Police have released new information involving shocking surveillance video that shows a man carrying an unconscious woman into a dark parking garage where she was sexually assaulted in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale police say the woman was nearly unconscious outside a bar in Old Town Scottsdale when 28-year-old Rodolfo Ramirez, a former MMA cage fighter, picked her up and carried her away.

The attack happened earlier this week; just released court paperwork said the 22-year-old woman had been waiting for a friend who had gone to get her car from a parking lot. Police say Ramirez carried the woman into a parking garage where he used his phone to shoot video of himself having sex with the passed out woman in a dark corner.

After the first sexual assault, according to records, he called an Uber to take her back to the house he shares with his estranged wife who was out of town at the time of the attack.

While the two were waiting for the ride to arrive, investigators said a Scottsdale patrol officer pulled up to ask if the intoxicated woman was okay and how Ramirez knew her. Ramirez reportedly told the officer he was the woman's boyfriend and the officer drove away.

On the ride home, the Uber driver also asked if the woman was okay and Ramirez told the driver she was just drunk.

Back at his house, Ramirez told police he took some pictures and had sex with the woman two more times on his couch. He then drove her home the next morning.

Police said Ramirez admitted he knew the woman was too drunk to consent to sex - yet insisted that “she wanted to be with” him.

Ramirez is charged with kidnapping and sexual assault.
