Willcox students sent home after threat received at high school

WILLCOX, AZ - Students in the Willcox School District have been released from three schools after a bomb threat was reported at the high school Thursday.

Jim Foley with the Willcox Unified School District told ABC15 there was a "tagged threat" found at the high school so officials decided to release students from the elementary, middle and high schools as a precaution.

Nothing had been found as of noon, Foley said.

Willcox schools have a four day week this week, so there would have been no school on Friday, anyway, Foley said.

District Superintendent Richard Rundhaug said it would take some time to clear the buildings to be sure there are no threats.

No one was injured.
