Maricopa Police say a woman is dead and a child is being treated for burn injuries after a house fire on Wednesday.

Emergency crews were called to the home near Honeycutt and Hartman roads around 10 a.m. Callers told officials there were two adults and a 2-year-old boy on the patio roof of the home.

Once on scene, crews were told that another person was still inside the home. Fire officials found a 20-year-old woman still upstairs inside the home. They removed her and took her to the hospital in very critical condition.

Three other people were also taken to the hospital in critical condition. The 2-year-old was being evaluated for burns.

Police confirmed Thursday that the 20-year-old woman, identified as Angel Coffman, passed away Wednesday afternoon. Officials believe her cause of death was smoke inhalation.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
