ABC15's sister station in Detroit, 7 Action News, has learned that a 16-year-old boy was electrocuted in Taylor on Friday night.

We're told the teen was trying to put out a fire caused by a downed power line after storms rolled through the area in the evening.

He was pouring water on the fire, but there was a live wire underneath. The current traveled through the water and electrocuted him.

His older brother tried to pull him away but was unsuccessful. The brother was also shocked but uninjured.

We're told the family was trying to perform CPR, and was even on the phone with 911 getting instructions on how to exactly revive him.
