Arizona Highways: Women gather in celebration of fly fishing (VIDEO)

Women in Arizona are banding together in celebration of fly fishing.

"Sisters on the Fly" was founded by Maurie Sussman with her sister Becky.

The group is now about 2,500 strong nationwide, ranging in age from 20 to 92. The women come from all walks of life, single married, widowed, divorced.

Maurie came up with the idea when she was fly fishing with her brother and realized that women fish different than men.

One of the differences is that the women may be drinking wine, rather than beer while fishing.

They gather in travel trailers and sometimes even their husbands, boyfriends, children and dogs are allowed on the trips.

Maurie says her husband thinks it's a wonderful thing because it's so "pure and good and healthy."

She says the men may even form their own group, "Brothers on the loose."
