A wrong-way driver was arrested for "super extreme" DUI after being stopped by police in Phoenix early Wednesday morning.
A Ford Fusion was first seen traveling in the wrong direction on Loop 202 near 44th Street before it was eventually located and stopped near 3rd and Oak streets.
Arizona Department of Public Safety Troopers identified the driver as 24-year-old Yvonne Cruz.
A portable breathalyzer test revealed Cruz' blood-alcohol content was .222, nearly three times the legal limit.
DPS says they identified three vehicles that were in danger due to Cruz’ actions.
Cruz was booked on three counts of endangerment as well as multiple DUI charges, including super extreme DUI.
