Two Valley teens have been arrested in connection with shooting a man after a robbery attempt.

Records show a 15-year-old and 16-year-old man conspired with a female friend to lure a man with the intention of robbing his vehicle.

Police say the incident happened on October 23 when the victim went to an apartment complex near 75th Avenue and McDowell Road to meet a girl he had met on Facebook.

Police say the female accomplice got into the victim’s car and told him to go inside the apartment where the two teen men surprised him.

According to police, the teens pointed guns at him demanding his wallet and keys. The victim attempted to run away when the female suspect drove-by in a blue SUV pointing a rifle at him.

While trying to flee the area the victim was shot in the ear, police say.

Police were able to locate and arrest the two juvenile suspects. They also found the SUV which had been stolen from one of the suspect’s mothers.

A suspect allegedly told police they hatched the scheme to steal the car because the SUV was trashed and they needed another vehicle.

The two suspects have been charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault.
