Show Low teacher surrenders to police for 2008 child molestation

A former Apache County Teacher of the Year has been indicted for child molestation. 

Phoenix Police report that on May 16, 48-year-old Larry Michael Nicholls walked into Phoenix Police Headquarters with his attorney and surrendered to a Maricopa County warrant for his arrest for child molestation. 

Court paperwork shows that Nicholls is accused of molesting a girl under the age of 15 on two occasions between 2008 and 2011. 

Nicholls listed his occupation as a teacher for Sequoia Village School in Show Low, Arizona. 

He was named Teacher of the Year for all of Apache County in 2013. 

Nicholls is being held on a $125,000 bond on two counts of child molestation.
