An AutoZone discount card helped police identify a man responsible for burglary and arson of his boss’s home, according to police documents.

Phoenix police report that on August 27 a man returned to his North Phoenix home to find his garage door open and his bedroom on fire.

After the fire was out, the man went through the house and found his 800-pound safe missing. He also discovered a backpack that did not belong to him.

Police say inside the backpack was a set of keys with an AutoZone discount card attached.

AutoZone reportedly told police that card belonged to Levi Leon Nash, age 31, an apparent employee of the victim.

The victim allegedly told police that Nash had access to the house and helped him move months earlier.

Police said about $20,000 in property was stolen.

Upon his arrest, Nash denied talking with investigators, only requesting an attorney.

He has been charged with burglary and arson.
