PHOENIX — A Phoenix woman has been arrested after using fraudulent prescriptions to buy Adderall at various Valley pharmacies.

Phoenix police report that on May 6 they arrested 28-year-old Alyssa Laurette Berryman at the Metier Pharmacy near 44th Street and Indian School Road.

Police say the manager of the pharmacy became aware that Berryman had used a forged prescription to purchase Adderall during a previous occasion. Berryman's former doctor alerted the pharmacy that she was no longer a patient of his and did not write any prescriptions for her.

The manager allegedly provided police with documentation showing Berryman had been filling Adderall prescriptions from several pharmacies since November.

Upon her arrest, Berryman allegedly admitted to using her computer to create fake prescriptions for Adderall, for which she has an addiction.

She has been charged with forgery and attempted acquisition of dangerous drugs. Court records show that more charges are pending.
