A man was arrested for stealing nearly $6,000 in high-end jeans from a Glendale store.

Glendale police report that on September 19 Shawn Comstock, 46 grabbed about 60 pairs of Vigoss Jeans, valued at $5,800 and ran from the Saks Off 5th store near 99th and Glendale avenues.

Police say several days later, 21-year-old Daisy Faye Challis tried to return some of the jeans to the store. The store refused the return and contacted police.

Challis met up with Comstock, and both were arrested by police.

Tattoos on the thief seen in surveillance video allegedly matched those on Comstock.

Challis reportedly told police that she was going to split the return money with Comstock and use her share to pay a probation fine.

They have both been charged with theft and trafficking in stolen property.
