Maracay Homes to unveil latest East Valley community

Maracay Homes is unveiling model homes in Gilbert this weekend, where the Scottsdale homebuilder has invested $6 million to develop its newest East Valley community.

Plans call for building 38 homes in a gated neighborhood, named Copper Bend, with views of the San Tan Mountains.

"It has breathtaking views," said Andy Warren, president of Maracay Homes, owned by Irvine, California-based Tri Pointe Group Inc.

Usually, when homes are built near a mountain area, the back yards face the mountain, offering outdoor living in the backyard, he said.
