Food City will show off its first sushi bar at a grand reopening celebration at its 91st Avenue and Thomas Road store Wednesday November 30.

According to a press release, chefs will prepare hand rolls, nigiri and maki. The addition of a sushi bar has become popular at many Valley supermarkets. Fry's is adding the amenity at its new Marketplace stores. Whole Foods and Sprouts have had sushi chefs for several years.

This Food City location recently underwent extensive renovations. As part of the celebration, it is offering a free reusable Food City bag loaded with groceries to the first 300 customers November 30. You must purchase groceries to be eligible. There will also be live Mariachi entertainment, Mexican-style food demonstrations, samples, and giveaways.
