Your child can build memories this summer at a Building Bonanza! LEGO® Summer Camp.
Bonanza Educational is best known for the after-school classes they offer valley-wide during the school year, but the most memorable experiences they offer are during the summer at their Building Bonanza! Summer camps.
This year is the 10th year Bonanza will be offering their unique approach to summer camp featuring hours of LEGO-based activities that teach kids STEM and Creativity skills while engaging campers in team-based, hands-on fun.
Bonanza offers both half-day and full-day summer camps and the camps are located all over the valley. Each week, the camps "travel" to a different location. Camps are hosted by schools and community partners. This means that most families in the Phoenix area will have a camp near them this summer, maybe even at their neighborhood school.
A typical day at camp includes guided lessons and activities in robotics, engineering, stop motion animation, and creativity. These lessons use LEGO® bricks including TechnicTM and MindstormsTM, computers, tablets, and other fun supplies.
Each day, there is an "explore hour". Campers team up and choose a subject they were excited about that day to take a deeper dive into the topic. Some teams might want extra animation time while others choose to build another robot.
Campers also use "explore hour" to select and create the "camp project" for the week. The camp project is a large-scale project the campers design and create as a team that highlights some of their favorite topics of the week.
Kids love Bonanza camps because they are fun! Parents love the structure, convenience and value Bonanza camps offer. The full day summer camps are only $259 for a four-day, eight-hour camp! Most camp locations also support an easy-pay plan as well.
