Service Airman Frank Benavidez has received numerous awards including, Air Force Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, and Airmen on the month while deployed in Iraq
Currently he is helping start an Arizona chapter for a San Antonio base non-profit called Heroes Sports. Their mission is to provide our veterans with assistance and opportunities assuring a smooth and well-rounded return to civilian life through multiple sports, outdoors and recreation to maintain an active lifestyle, bond through teamwork and be active in the community.
Frank received a $500 gift card courtesy of Sanderson Ford as a thank you for his continued efforts to serve the community.
