James became "one in a million" when he was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder that affects one in a million people!
Chronic Granulomatous Disease, or CGD, severely compromises the immune system. At just 16 months old, James had to fight for his life. He lost part of his right lung, but fortunately James was cured after receiving a life-saving bone marrow transplant.
James is now healthy and enjoys being active. He and his family are grateful for his bone marrow donor, who James refers to as his hero.
