Dr. Johnyee Beasley was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Grand Canyon University in 1994, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry and Humanities. She then ventured to the San Francisco Bay area, where she earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic, Cum Laude, in 1998 from Life Chiropractic College West. Returning home to AZ, she practiced chiropractic with her mentor, Dr. Richer, in Scottsdale for two years. She enjoyed practicing chiropractic, and helping her patients restore their health, however there was something missing for her.
It was at dinner with friends, when she had an "ah-ha moment". As a good friend shared how she recently enrolled in aesthetic college, Johnyee kept silently wishing it was her. She thought it sounded so fun and exciting. Within a few short months, she had researched and enrolled herself in the top rated Kar-Che' Aesthetic Institute. She graduated top in her class in early 2001, and quickly gained a respected reputation in the skincare industry in Phoenix, with a large and prestigious clientele.
In 2005, she decided to expand her business to include eyelash extensions. After much research, she chose to go with the best in the business…Xtreme Lashes. Upon completing her certification, she was promptly recruited by the President of Xtreme Lashes, Jo Mousseli, to become a national educator. She spent many years traveling the U.S. and Canada teaching and certifying others in the fine art of eyelash extensions. Johnyee is a perfectionist by nature, and her expertise and attention to detail has made her the premier "go to girl" for eyelash extensions in Arizona, fondly referred to by her clients as their "Lash Diva". Her clientele includes the wives of many sports celebrities that literally fly into AZ for Johnyee to complete their lash fills. She is proud to be the only former Xtreme Lashes educator, holding multiple advanced certifications, and awards in the state.
With her growing success in the professional skincare and eyelash extension industry, she decided to open an upscale day spa in Glendale, AZ. Vita Bella fine day spa opened for business in 2007, and it was a fun and prosperous adventure that kept her very busy…perhaps a bit more busy than she wanted. Feeling the need to simplify her business life so she could focus more on her art of eyelash extensions and on her clientele (whom she refers to as her "second family"), she made the decision to leave the day spa business behind, and begin a new adventure. Johnyee decided a small studio, where she could continue to perfect her craft and cater to her client's needs was more her cup of tea. What would she call this studio? She smiled and thought of the nickname so many of her clients called her, and voila, The Lash Diva studio was born in March of 2015.
Shortly after The Lash Diva Studio was born, Johnyee received a phone call from Xtreme Lashes which was both humbling and exciting at the same time. She was to be honored with an award at their prestigious Diamond Anniversary Celebration in Las Vegas. In June, she was presented with both the Lifetime Achievement Lashista 2015 and Directory Lashista 2015 awards. Such an honor to be recognized by the Global Leader in eyelash extensions.
Johnyee is still in love with eyelash extensions, and is still loyal to the top brand in the industry, Xtreme Lashes. She understands there are new innovations in her industry every year, and she stays on top of the the trends, while remembering many of them are mere gimmicks. With this in mind, she stays on her toes with research and continuing education to assure her clients she offers them only the best. She even traveled all the way to beautiful Prague, Czech Republic to attend The League of Lashmasters, a symposium of eyelash extension artists from all over the globe sharing their knowledge and expertise. I suppose you could say Johnyee is willing to travel the globe to bring the best to her Lash Diva studio.
