El Portal Sedona Hotel is dedicated to providing guests and their pets an extraordinary lodging experience in unpretentious luxury. With tile and wood flooring throughout, the boutique hotel was designed and built with pets' needs in mind. El Portal welcomes pets as warmly as their humans with no pet fees and special baskets that include comfortable blankets, treats, and doggie bags. The property has a total of over 1,000 square feet of pet-friendlypatio spaces.

El Portal Sedona Hotel was the dream of owners Steve and Connie Segner. They dreamt of an all-inclusive feeling of oneness with the land and spirit of the Southwest, and they brought all the elements into the creation of this beautiful Sedona hotel. After careful planning and execution, their vision became a reality. A spectacular "adobe hacienda" true to this vision was theirs and fortunately Sedona's. "We wanted to build an exceptional luxury inn, a hacienda where strangers are welcomed like family; a retreat where they can enjoy the serene, ageless spirit of Sedona in historic yet luxurious surroundings, and it had to be pet friendly!" says Steve.

Located in the heart of Sedona, the boutique hotel has received numerous awards including being voted "The Best Pet Friendly Hotel in the USA" by 10best.com and USA Today, and named the second most dog-friendly hotel in the country by Dogster Magazine. El Portal is a AAA Four Diamond Hotel, ranked as one of the top hotels in the Southwest by Condé Nast Traveler and has consistently received TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence Award.

Behind the custom-made door of each suite are museum quality Arts and Crafts furnishings. Each suite is distinctly designed and decorated, and may include such features as an adobe corner fireplace with river rock stone, French doors, stencil designs, hand-painted detailing, stained glass ceiling panels or accents, tile and flagstone flooring, high-beamed ceilings of natural, organic juniper or burl logs, rich tile detailing and arched windows. Bathroom designs may include free-form granite counters, whirlpool or free standing claw foot tub. Outside guests can enjoy spectacular views, a private garden or sitting terrace, and many suites have balconies or fenced patios.

At the Sedona hotel quintessential service is considered an integral part of the serenity of the Southwest experience, and guests are offered the best in modern amenities and unparalleled personalized concierge services for the Sedona area. The staff at El Portal helps guests with daily plans including jeep tours, hot air balloon rides, "doing" the Grand Canyon, wine tours, kayaking, rafting, golfing, dining, museums, hiking and mountain biking, and more. Guests have access to two swimming pools, a full gym, and Sedona Spa located next door at Los Abrigados. An extraordinary gourmet breakfast is available each morning, and delectable afternoon hors d'oeuvres are provided with an honor bar.

El Portal is not a traditional inn or resort; it offers a unique lodging experience providing guests with the comforts of home and the superior services of a four-star hotel at an excellent value.
